Sire & Dam
Marwan (Manganate x Marifa) raced from the age of 3 – 6 years, 17 wins and 5 places out of 25 starts; winner in Holland, France, Germany, Sweden, and Belgium. He passes his performance genes on to all his offspring, many of them performing excellently on the race track and in endurance.
Piroga (out of Prikhot by Sport) was born in Tersk in 1979, sold to Belgium and later to the Netherlands. For many years she was used for breeding show horses. Breeder Anita Blankers recognized the value of Piroga for breeding race horses and bred: Pigaro (Makzan x Piroga), raced 36 times, winning 9 times and placed in all other races and Pribot (Marwan x Piroga), raced 21 times, winning 3 times (including Group III race) and placed 16 times.
Piroga was royally bred:
Aswan, of course, does not need any further explanation about his
importance for the modern Arab purebred.
Piroga’s dam Prikhot (born in 1967) holds until this very day several track records and in
Russia she is regarded a legend. She also produced the influential stallions Parusnik, Bonifatsi
and Gepards.
Sport, Piroga’s sire, was an elite stallion bred by Tersk Stud. He raced 32 times and holds
five speed records. He won not only in Arabian Purebred listed and group races over 1200 –
4000 meter, he ran in and won mixed races, including the Budjonny steeplechase over 4 km
against Thoroughbreds!
So if you are looking for performance genes, Pribot is the ultimate Sire!
